Green Talk: Conserving Water

Monday, May 24th, 2010

With swimming pools and sprinklers running from dawn to dusk, the summer brings water usages to its highest. So why not take a few steps to preserving those precious drops of H2O? And now you can let the showerhead do the work.  Just simply turn on an Evolve Showerhead, go finish the task you were working on, and when the water is hot the showerhead will reduce itself to a drizzle until you are ready to step in. way you’re not wasting huge amounts of hot water or the energy needed to heat it.

Evolve Showerheads are not the only way you can preserve water. Join the United Nations in celebrating World Environment Day with the WATER MATTERS! Global Water Conference in Pittsburgh.  By attending you can become part of a global movement for a cleaner, more refreshing tomorrow.

Earth Day, All Year Long

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

On a recent trip to Texas, we saw signs of alternative energy, “green” living, and reusable projects everywhere we looked! It reminded us of two things… First, to share more pictures with you of an Earth Day project GIVE helped with in Pittsburgh’s Southside with our partners at Friends of the Riverfront.

Second is to keep Earth Day’s mission in our minds all year long. The simplest changes can create the biggest impacts.

What are some of your favorite ways to be earth friendly, year round? Send us your best tips!
